May I refer to my letter of 30th July regarding the Hongkong Estimates for 1947/8, to which I do not appear to have received a reply. I would be grateful for Treasury comments on the Estimates as soon as possible so that we can convey the Secretary of States approval and comments to the Governor in the near future.
